SSC Constable (GD) Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: (As on 01.01.2023)
| Constable (GD) – The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University. |
Age Limit: (As on 01.01.2023)
| Constable (GD) – 18-23 years as on 01-01-2023. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2000 and later than 01-01-2005 in normal course. However, after relaxation of three (03) years in upper age, the candidate should not have been born earlier than 02-01-1997 |
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Details:
| Constable (GD) – Pay Level–1(Rs.18,000 to 56,900) for the post of Sepoy in NCB and Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100) for all others posts. |
SSC Constable (GD) Selection Process 2022:
SSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

| 2. | Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination and Document Verification |
| Exam Centers in Tamil Nadu: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Vellore & Puducherry |
Application Fee/Exam Fee for SSC Constable (GD):
| – Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only).- Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.- Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.- Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 01-12-2022 (23:00 hours). However, candidates who wish to make the cash payment through Challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of the bank up to 01-12-2022 provided the Challan has been generated by them before 30-11-2022 (23:00) hours |
