Educational Qualification:
| No person shall be eligible for appointment to the service to the post of Block Educational Officer, unless he possesses the minimum qualifications as follows:(i) A degree of any University recognized by University Grant Commission or its equivalent and B.Ed. Degree in any University recognized by University Grant Commission or its equivalent. Provided that a degree should be from any one of the subjects such as Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Geography and History.As per Part III – Section 1(b), Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Elementary Education Subordinate Service, Section 48-A Annexure (Referred to in Rule 6 (b) (i)) T.N. Government Gazette No.36, Date.30.01.2020 and [G.O.(Ms). No.12, School Education, EE1(1), 30.01.2020](ii) The candidates not having prescribed educational qualifications, as on the date of notification shall not be eligible to apply. The candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility criteria before applying. It is to be noted that if a candidate is allowed to appear for the examination, it does not mean that the eligibility of the candidate is verified. The eligibility of the candidate shall be verified by the Board only at the time of Certificate Verification (if called for).Equivalence of Qualification: Candidates claiming equivalence of qualification to the prescribed qualification should upload and submit evidence for equivalence of qualification in the form of Government Order. Those who have applied for their equivalence Government Orders should submit their equivalence order at the time of Certificate Verification, failing which, their candidature will be summarily rejected after due process. | Qualification Criteria:(i) Candidates who obtained a Degree after undergoing a course of one year duration (Double degree /Dual degree etc.) are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.(ii) Candidates who obtained any of the required qualifications (SSLC, HSC, U.G. Degree and B.Ed., degree) simultaneously are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.(iii) In cases where the Special Rules prescribe a Diploma or a Degree or a Post Graduate Degree as a qualification for appointment, then; -(a) a diploma obtained, after completion of S.S.L.C. or Higher Secondary Course [10+3 (3 Years Diploma)] or [10+2+2 (Lateral Entry)]; or(b) a degree obtained, after completion of S.S.L.C. and Higher Secondary Course (10+2+3 or more)As per Explanation-I of Section 25 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.The candidates must have obtained Graduation with Bachelor of Education after completion of S.S.L.C., Higher Secondary Course or its equivalent, (10+2+3+1) or (10+2+3+2) or (10+2or3+3+1) or (10+2or3+3+2) pattern from any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.(iv) The Candidates not having prescribed qualifications, as on the date of notification shall not be eligible to apply for the examination. The candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility criteria before applying. All qualifying certificates including PSTM Certificate should have been obtained on or before the last date for submission of filled in online application announced in the recruitment notification. Age Limit:
| Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (8) of section 20 of the T.N. Government Servants (Conditions of Services) Act, 2016, no person shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to any of the categories specified in these rules, if he / she has completed 40 years of age, on the first July 2023.Provided that for direct recruitment to any of the categories specified in these rules, the age limit prescribed above shall be increased by five years in respect of candidates belonging to Backward Classes, Backward Class Muslims, Most Backward Classes or Denotified Communities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Destitute widows of all castes. |

TN TRB may follow the following process to select the candidates.

Application Fee/Exam Fee for TN TRB BEO:
| a) The Examination fee is Rs.600/- for all the candidates except SC, SCA, ST and differently abled persons. For SC, SCA, ST and differently abled persons the examination fee is Rs. 300/- Since the examination fee is different for various categories, candidates are advised to enter the correct Community / Person with Disability category. Once the payment is made, it will not be refunded.b) SMS alert regarding successful Payment will be sent to the registered mobile phone of the candidate.c) Online payment to be made only through Payment Gateway. (Net banking/Credit Card / Debit Card) |
