Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: (As on 01.12.2023)
| 1. Hindi Officer Cum Senior Assistant Secretary – Essential Educational and other Qualification: Master Degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level OR Master Degree of a recognized university in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level. OR Master Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi/English with Hindi and English as subjects at the degree level. Desirable: Adequate knowledge of Tamil |
| 2. Fire cum Assistant Safety Officer – Essential Educational and other Qualification: Essential: (i) Graduate ship examination of Institute of Fire Engineers (London) or should have passed B.Sc., with Chemistry as one of the main subjects or B.E., (Fire), recognised by AICTE(All India Committee for Technical Education), Nagpur University. (ii) Should have undergone Divisional Fire Officers’ Course at National Fire Service College, Nagpur; or Advance Diploma Course at National Fire Service College, Nagpur. (iii) Possession of Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence; (iv) Should have served not less than 5 years in a Fire Service Organisation in an Industrial town in a rank not below Station Officer. (v) Medical Standard Height: 168 Cms. Weight: 50 Kgs. Chest Measurement: Normal – 81 Cms. Exp. 86 Cms. Vision: Normal in both eyes, colour vision is essential and wearing of glasses is not permissible except to employees over the age of 40 years. (vi) Knowledge of swimming. |

Salary Details:
| 1. Class I – Rs.50,000 /- in the scale of Rs.50000-160000 (under revision) and other admissible allowances as applicable. Total emoluments at present Pay scale will be approximately Rs.87, 000/- per month plus HRA as admissible (if not residing in VOC Port quarters). |
| 2. Class II – Rs.40,000 /- in the scale of Rs.40000-140000 and other admissible allowances as applicable. Total emoluments at present Pay scale will be approximately Rs.70000/- per month plus HRA as admissible (if not residing in VOC Port quarters). |
Selection Process:
For Class I posts, the candidates have to appear for an online test as mentioned in Para III of the advertisement. The shortlisted candidates from online test will be called for interview/skill test. List of candidates shortlisted for Interview/Skill test will be made available on VOC Port Trust website. The selection will be made on the basis of overall performance in Online Examination and Interview/Skill test.
For Class II posts selection will be done based on the written examination and skill test. The selection of shortlisted candidates for all the posts will be subject to verification of required documents as indicated in this advertisement, in original. Non submission of requisite documents by the candidate during this process will disqualify his candidature from further participation in the recruitment process. Further, in case it is found during verification that requisite documents do not meet the prescribed criteria, his candidature will not be considered any further in the recruitment process, even if found qualified in written examination. VOC Port Trust reserves the right to modify the selection procedure if deemed fit.
